A dark world in the shape of sound is slowly entering our ears.
When surrounded there is nothing we can do than find pleasure in this wet foggy world that is being created by Wehwalt & Zreen Toys.
How more we let the music comes in how further we get sucked into a intriguing electronic jungle where normal insects have robotic features, and the earth is rumbling in the night.
Never heard before Flying objects are rushing through the sky and the unknown sounds of organic mechanisms are fascination as well as being a little scary. This is the work of intelligent sound sculptures that simply have the power to transport unsuspected listeners in to a strange alien environment.
A place where it is absolutely busy with life we don’t know anything about. The complete stereo effects are so well done that wherever you are playing this track, unknown well crafter unidentified sounds will come from every corner. From small electric bugs, to robotic woodpeckers, strange wolves of steel and flying creatures till the full force of bombastic natural elements we have not yet heard before on planet earth. At the end we hear some kind of human life as my ears are identifying some kind of prehistoric and yet futuristic instruments. The human sounds are not of a friendly nature and I guess it could come from hunting cannibals. Is this the moment to prey for our mum and get the hell out of here somehow? Lucky for us the wild environment shaped by these amazing producers is taking over with a short but heavy form of bad weather. The earth shakes and a tropical electronic rainfall falls down the ground to freak out the potential dangers of hunters.
After a little bit of rest the mechanical frogs and scary sounding creatures have taken over and even though it is all rather interesting, my ears certainly don’t feel safe at all! It is like a science fiction horror for the ears and the ending is a pure form of apocalyptic mayhem where the whole mysterious planet walks over you… The hunters have found you and there is simply no happy end over here, but at least our last and final minutes have been very interesting and somehow enjoyable too. What an amazing audio collage!

Are we in heaven or are we in hell? The next track ‘Métamorphoses polymorphes’ by Zreen Toys is a less panicky environment with some more space to breath and wonder where we are. Of course there are no answers and the only one to ask your questions too is your own imagination. Somehow we have some kind of flashback of the busy departure hall before going on a trip with an odd sounding thing. When my ears thought that they were into safety but soon some strange objects are passing by in a rather loud and sharp way. We are still moving as I could definitely identify an engine.
Heavenly layers of sound are introducing themselves before we enter an open air restaurant in the middle of a muddy pond. Is this all a magical weird and feverish dream or is this just the pure magic Zreen TOyz is putting into audio. What an eccentric journey and when my ears thought it would be over, some strange sounds that reminds me of electronic panthers and the sound of being stuck between an elevator door pops up. The end of this adventurous soundscape is some kind of firework that feels like the most familiar sound my ears has heard since diving into this master piece of audio-art.

Track solo by Wehwalt called ‘Métamorphose d’un nuage en paysage infundibuliforme’ and is a thrilling piece of audio sampled trickery that intelligently flabbergast the listener with all its spectacular sounds and effects. This is so well done that my ears are tingling from excitement. With all these high quality recordings of sounds mixed, manipulated and glued together in a magical piece of soundscape, you have nothing to feel bored about. It will suck your attention up into another new created dimension that is as deep as the deepest tunnel and at times as bizarre as your mothers underwear.
Do I hear a dog sniffing, throwing of dices, knives sharping, muffled bats playing broken strings, plants being ripped out of the ground? Who knows what Wehwalt has recorded to create this intensive trip of audio, but I can tell you it is probably the best in this kind of genre at this very moment! Of course the track ends like a complete meltdown of all these insane sounds, and I can even distinguish a vaporized trumpet before it get sucked into this giant wormhole. This is pure awesomeness! If you don’t download this if you are into experimental music and soundscapes that completely astonish you, than you are considered an idiot by the team of Yeah I Know It Sucks, as this is by far really great work!

The last track is another co-production of Zreen Toyz & Wehwalt. It is called Alpha et Oméga morphose and even though it begins very calm and somehow relaxing, I suspect a transformation of mayhem at the end. It feels like we are back in the same kind of alien environment where this album has started off with, but the strange creatures and the ground itself has eased up a bit. It feels almost calm with some strange bugs and signs of alienating creatures filling up the air. Suddenly we hear a human life form taking us for a walk, inside a house, up the stair through heavy wooden doors..
What the hell just happened and where are we now you may ask. The answer is probably we are in utter confusion as in the world of Zreen Toys & Wehwalt everything and anything can happen.
It is pure fantasy, pure sci-fi and pure not easy to put away with. This is no easy listening, this is a adventure! There are Wonderful sounds moving in the air that keeps everything warm and cozy. A hint of a rattling beat even sneaks out from out of nowhere..
This is pure genius and instead the suspected mayhem these two sound maniacs are simply beaming us high up with their futuristic equipment and beam us with a bang back to where we belong!

Conclusion? This is really a great masterpiece and certainly the best thing I have heard in 2013 in the soundscape field. What a brilliant work that is absolutely intrequin, fresh and outstanding in its own perfection. If you are into this kind of music, or perhaps are doing own attempts of being a sound artist than I certainly recommend listening to this mind blowing album (it is free).
As they say, listen and learn from the best!
